First things first, I would NOT recommend jumping off the overlook rock. Second, if you are going to make it here you need a four wheel drive vehicle. I have an old 1992 Jeep Cherokee which has been confined to mostly city driving the last few years. Yesterday I piled in a few friends and the family dog and embarked on a five hour offroading adventure complete with wrong turns and washed out roads. Good old Jeep didn't bat an eye even with 239k miles under its hood.
We arrived just before sunset and were thrilled to watch the sun sink rapidly pass the horizon. I felt bad taking photos because I knew I couldn't do it justice.
Final photo is from camping the night before, my friend caught a 10" trout which quickly made its way to the fire. Freshly caught wild trout is wonderful.
