Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
Took these RAW with my D60 and new Tamron 70-300. Some of the pics with dark windscreens really took some correction in PS Elements.

Let me know what you think. The first 2 pics are my daughter, the rest are her friends...

I'm fairly new, but I am having a lot of fun taking the pics.

most look out of focus...

i do love tennis though...sad to think most of those kids could probably kick my ass

Any ideas on the focus softness? I had the camera set on AF-C, should I try to manually focus? I wonder if my manipulations in PS Elements softened it up?

No you shouldn't manual focus and it's probably not your manipulation's fault.

It looks like you may want to get a faster shutter speed (you may need to increase your ISO's), and I guess you would just have to practice getting the right focus.

Sharpening in photoshop is another way to decrease some softness, but it won't do miracles.

I think you need a higher shutter speed would definity help here, I would use spot meter when I shoot these kind of pictures but I'm not sure that's right though, just an idea.

Why not manual focus?

I shot an entire season of hockey this year with manual focus, not a shot with auto, and it worked fine, and hockey is faster than tennis.

Do you ya'll find these any sharper?

I increase the shutter speed and changed a little of my post processing.

the last ones definitely look sharper. the faster shutter speed was a good choice.
