Junior Volleyball Tournament

I was going through my pictures I shot at my daughter's volleyball tournament this past weekend. This one was one of my favorites, so I thought I would share it. I know technically it's not much, but just the timing I thought was neat.

Very hard shooting indoors under flourescent lighting, and the big yellow curtain didn't help much.

Nice catch. A bit of a crop would benefit the image. I wonder if that yellow background helped with the typically poor lighting in Jr High Gyms. Thanks for posting.

Timing is good, as CMfromIL said a tighter crop would help this one. Unfortunately you'll end up with a long thin photo.

Thanks for the kind comments. I don't like this crop either. My wife convinced me to use it, but to me it doesn't look right. I am going to look at the original and see what I can come up with. Thanks again!

This is a sort of slice-of-life image...the two girls on the sidelines kind of add to the shot. This is not the kind of photo imagemaker46 would want to submit for publication, but as a "family" photo, it's got its place. It's a cool moment and an unusual expression. As you stated, it is "neat". And you know, sometimes, that's enough. The long line of chairs...if that were cropped away, would it be better?

I like it, I also think that a crop would make it into a much stronger image.

I don't mind at all. I do like that crop. I was messing around with the original because I want to make an 8x10 out of it for her wall. You really helped give me an idea. Thanks!
