Thanks Maui - fortunately I get a lot of practice zoo shooting. I take my aunt to dialysis every Saturday and hit the zoo while I'm waiting for her to be done.

Really nice! I think your pics have taken big a leap forward with the new lens. Making me think I'll have to upgrade from the Tamron much sooner than I had planned.

I think the new lens really did make a big difference, the stuff is so much sharper and clearer off the camera, much better color contrast. Can't say how much of a difference it might be from the Tamron.. but from the Sigma HSM I which was left on our planet by ancient aliens at some point.. ya, big difference.
