She's pretty all right, but she's prettier when she smiles. #7 works for me partly because she has a very faint smile (but a smile nevertheless). Also, the catch-lights in her eyes are rather dim. Have you considered a direct flash dialed back to (say) -3 or -4 EV? Then no real light contribution, but a sparkle in the eyes?

I'd clone out that white thread hanging off of the top of the back of her blue blouse in frame #2. Otherwise...100 percent ready for production!

They're beautiful!
You don't watch your room closely. There are several here that will be a problem if they choose an 8x10 size.

The style and theme in part of this shoot was to be urban in these junk filled settings. It would make more sense if you saw the whole shoot. Just thought I would explain myself on that a little bit.

Her eyes are completely emotion-free in most shots. Just showing some sort of emotion on her face would improve them, IMHO.

I know that look she is going for but She can't really pull it off. Smiles would have helped 100%.

She only seems to have one expression, which is a pity, but you did great.

The backgrounds are definitely interesting, and a little incongruous until you see the theme emerging. I *love* how you've handled the backgrounds in general, you've left us with a strong sense of that urban roughness, but you've managed to make the girl POP completely in all the settings. It looks almost like you did some very subtle selective desaturation here, but since I can't be sure, I declare the effect awesome whether you did it or not.

She poses nicely, she just needs to learn to give you more expressiveness. I know it's hard to imagine, but us guys actually do look at the face. Only for a second, true, but we do look!

kathy, just giving my feedback. Please don't take it the wrong way. To me the color of most of these photos look like photos that come out from straight out of camera. It needs more pop IMO. It feels like all you did was correcting the WB and exposure on post, that's it. I think you can do a lot better with the processing. A little more light on the face would be good but these are pretty good.

Thank you for your feedback Robin. I would love to see what you could do with one of them. Take your pick, I would be honored. By the way, I am really enjoying seeing your work on the forum. I love the contrast and the drama in your lighting.

Very well done, you're talented, that's for sure.
I think the colors are OK...on my screen anyway.

The one thing that stood out to me, for C&C, is the cropping in the last one. It just doesn't seem to work, especially with the angle (shooting down) of that shot.

b.t.w. for future reference, it really helps is you number your images (and leave a space between them) when you post a bunch of them at once. Also, you'll tend to get more in-depth and specific C&C if you post one or two at a time and give us more info about how AND WHY you shot them the way you did.
