Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
Well this is my first post on this website and I am excited to be here. I shoot with a Canon Rebel T2i and I just got enough photos together that I decided to launch a website. Basic template from Lightroom, but I am happy with it.

That is one simple site! I dont think the dead bird at the end will drive much business for you...

Drive business FOR or FROM? I think it is one of my better photo's personally, but maybe not mainstream portfolio worthy.

I like the bird.. maybe he is just napping

I don't find your site to be terribly appealing (visually). I don't hate it - it just doesn't "pop" for me. It's just a bunch of thumbnails with links to the larger version of the photo which you're trying to promote. As for the photos themselves, I can't comment to much. It would seem as though you like panaramas a lot. I like the dock panarama shot. As for the dead bird photo, I rather like it. Then again, I've never been acused of being "normal" before.

One of the best sites you can have is a blog. That way you can update when you start with a new client, do sneak-peeks right after a shoot (and then tag your clients on Facebook, thus driving all of the clients friends to your site to see pics of their friend (my fav/most amazing way to drive people to your site for FREE)), post up completed shoots (tagging clients on FB once again)

Blogs just have so much more depth and a level of "realness" that a simple portfolio site just can't attain.

I looked at your site for a minute and don't remember seeing how to contact you.

Look into google analytics, it's a HUGE, incredibly useful tool for web masters

I'll give my girl Veronica a shoutout. Her site is what I'm referring to, and she gets MAAAAAAD business drawn from her site.

Seriously awesome post, thank you very much for your wisdom. I was planning on launching a blog quite soon, but I needed to get SOMETHING out there. Thanks again ;)

Your very welcome! If you have any questions, shoot me a msg.

you might want to actually post some commentary and not leave the default message from wordpress up to long.
