Just Roses

Haven't posted anything new in a few days, so I thought I would, not really happy with it, but liked the way one flower was starting to wilt while the other was beginning to bloom. Also tried out a new velvia technique on it...

The velvia may have been too much. There's not enough contrast in the flower. (sorry, I know this isn't critique forum, but I think you can handle.) I do, however, like the concept. (sorry, amanda!)

Don't be sorry I sensed it was too much but needed to be told I appreciate your honesty Joe I woudl add that it needs to be much sharper as well...
This was sort of a test for the velvia effect really...so thanks for responding and the critique Joe I always appreciate honesty especially from someone as yourself

A good comment from Joe but I have to say... they are never "Just" roses. I think they are to beautiful to ever "just" be roses.

I do like this picture. The cropping and angle are nice.
