I tried to built something like this out of plywood and hinges, but it ended up being far too bulky and heavy. Not to mention clunky and not very compact even when folded down.

So I scrapped that whole idea and started from scratch.

Version 2: Light canvas and 3/4" PVC. A sewing machine and a PVC cutter, some elbows and Ts, and I have a much lighter caddy for when I take to the backroads. Plus one that is much smaller to pack away when not in use.
