Can others edit my Photos

Hi,

Just joined so that I can
1) Get advice on equipment and
2) Become involve in this community as I learn more about photography.

I have been interested in photography since a kid, but never really pursued it other than snapshots due to family, time, study, work, too lazy etc.

Now my 14 year daughter is enjoying photography and she really is half decent. My interest has been rekindled and I am going to renew my interest and enjoy relearning as my daughter is learning.

So to question 1)

Bearing in mind I do not have a big budget, but could squeeze towards to these if had to.

I am selling my dslr d60, because it is too large to take with me when biking, socialising etc.
I want a camera with great quality, full manual control and fun.

I am really taken by the fuji x cameras, they look and are talked about positively. So they are probably my top pick.
I can get a used x100 for the same price as a new x20. If the x100 was in great condition, with the latest update, which would be the better choice. I would use them for all things, so aware of the lens differences. Just want a great camera to learn with an take some great photos with whilst having fun.

thanks.
and see you around the forum.

They're great cameras and the X-100 is already nearly legendary. The X-100's larger sensor is going to deliver better IQ, but overall, if it's the only camera you're carrying, the zoom lens on the X-20 or the new X-Q1 would tip the scale for me. I'd sure find it hard to live with the fixed lens on the X-100. You mention biking -- the new X-Q1 has the same size sensor as the X-20 but with a collapsing lens and sans viewfinder it fits in your pocket.

Well if you don't need the proceeds from the D60 to purchase the other camera, you might want to consider hanging on to it - for two reasons. First you'll have something you can use in those times when portability isn't as much of an issue, and 2 you'll have something you can hand to your daughter so the two of you can go out and take pictures together.

Just a thought.
