Kind of first shot at newborn photos

Other than my attempt at taking my daughters newborn pictures (epic fail btw), last night was my first shot at newborn. Although I don't think I did that great, I guess it was a decent first attempt. I really try to avoid newborns but one of my friends wanted some pictures of her items that she made for newborn shoots.

Let me know what you guys think.

NOTE: I know the white onesie kind of takes away from the newborn photo ideal but the parents did not want to remove it for personal reasons I guess.

These aren't bad for someone who avoids newborns! 2 and 3 seem a bit hot to me. Maybe it's just me. In #2 I'd fill in the top right corner, clone the blanket out to the edges or something. It's distracting.

I'd rotate and re-crop #1 something like this, to draw more attention to the baby face, and get rid of the awkward crop at the knee and the pointy excess hat material.
