I rarely get a shot of a kingfisher, they're so skittish it seems but I managed a decent shot of this one that was at distance. I didn't crop much because of that so it's basically an environmental shot. It's not packed with detail but what I liked most is how the branches and bird are in stark contrast with the soft, blurred bg.

I won't argue that! I used to chase them around but no more, it's a waste of time.
