Kissing finches and a starling

I hate Starlings! They over run all of my feeders! That said, I love the second photo. The colors on the bird as well as the background are amazing!
Typical of your photographs.

Well done on all of them.

3rd is my favorite. Like how the bird is placed off center and seems to be eyeing the camera

Thanks everyone! I keep thinking the finches seem slightly over exposed, but I can't tell if its my laptop. I finally ordered a real computer so in a few weeks I should have a better calibrated setup...

I was thinking the same thing, just a tiny bit overexposed, but I'm on a really crappy hospital computer monitor right now so its hard to tell. still a great shot, but I'm diggin' #3.

I darkened it a little and added a little USM... Does this look better?

Image 2 really stands out. Well done! 11 degrees a few miles down the road from you and it was very brrrr. I commend you for no camera shake from the shivering.

They are not kissing...... she's in his face nagging. Boy, the iridescence of that starling in that second shot is nice.

CC, great images as usual. The first image of the finches is a little overexposed and the second, re-processed image is better. Were you using a flash on this one? The starlings are great and have such nice colour.

WG, no flash it was early morning and the sun was still low. Although it looks like flash for some reason because the colors seemed a little washed out. I struggled a little with pp as you can tell. The starlings were only about 10 minutes later, but different angle.. I'll have to check my settings not sure if I was on spot or matrix, but I think it was 1/3 stop + on EC
