Kodak Instamatic 50 jammed?

Hi, I am new here, just joined today... sorry if this is posted in the wrong area >.< I have a Kodak Instamatic 50 and I have just managed to jam the film advance leaver? I have tried holding the shutter release down and a few other things but nothing seems to be working? Am I being a moron and the answer is obvious? Please help!
