L Bracket for D500 with MB-D17 grip

I have used the same one on a d700, d500 and d850. Not perfect fit on the last 2 but works fine.

The Kirk L Bracket was delivered today. Perfect fit, as it should be considering it cost me $165, couldn't be happier.

If yu are using a tripod, you don't have the camera hanging precariously and perhaps difficult to lock down over the side. Plus you dont have to relocate the tripod left or right and adjust camera height. On a rolling studio stand, it is almost an instant change. Enjoy. As I said, mine has fit 2 cameras.

Kirk products are certainly well made - as long as you're satisfied with the resultant change of composition it should work well for you.
