I am unsure on black and whites, I thought this one would look good with the textures and water but now i am not sure let me know what you think. I keep thinking I am improving but I think I might be getting worse lol

Don't feel that way. lol. I do too sometimes. I think I'm getting the hang of things and then I produce crap. Usually...in my case...I'm just trying too hard to make something out of nothing.

I think that could be the case in your image. It's just not a very interesting photo. Converting it to b&w won't make a boring photo interesting...usually.

lol, I put up like 8-10mb jpg's, lol. I don't bother resizing....I'm lazy.

I need to start uploading to my flicker and just linking.

hey...lol. I'm just barely above the 45th parallel.

I edited your pic OP, just cause i'm bored. Play with your black and whites post...sometimes you can make them a tad better...or at least get in practice.

I cleaned up the lake, killed highlights, rocks look like rocks...that pile on the shore that had the highlights. tried to give the trees some depth and separation...etc etc.

oh...and unpopular...it's now 4mb after my edit.
