landscape or portrait?

Of the two, landscape is better.

But I would like to see a portrait with more "metal" and less sky. Maybe with a wide angle lens? Get up close and personal with the subject!

As far as why the landscape shot is better - it is not centered like the portrait, has less of the boring sky, has additional visual elements like the fence railings that lead the eye from the left of the frame towards the tractor, and the carparking lines which seem to help frame the subject somehow.
