I think it would have been much more significant if taken with another angle..thus givin importance to the fact that it's the last one of the bunch ............plus the purple fringin is really strong.

I would like a tighter crop. Why did you take this as a vertical shot? Because nothing in the top of the frame is adding to the photo, its just dead space.

to me its a picture of a wilting flower. if it was the last of the bunch, perhaps you could have conveyed that somehow,

i'm not sure how you could have done it though... if you tried to take a picture of the whole bush, itll just look like a dead bush with one flower. perhaps you coulud have taken the whole bush, and edited it later, making it B&W and leaving the color of the flower
