Just having fun with some leftover fall colours.

I didn't feel like wading in the creek to get a better angle on this one ;)

There is a waterfall upstream from here but I couldn't find any good way to get to it...especially since it was super muddy and slippery.

This is the way the woods around here are presenting themselves at this time of the year, too, when winter has gone but spring hasn't as yet quite arrived to the woods. (In the gardens, there are clear signs of spring, but not out there). I find this "season" (of between-seasons-state) very interesting - and extremely hard to catch in photos.

Which is why I must say you did a super job here, bean!
Fantastic.
I like both these photos, the first because of the decaying trunk leading us, who we look at the photo, from the front way into the back ("into the woods"), the second because the creek does almost the same, even though it flows in the other direction (out of the picture).

What you did catch in a very authentical way are the colours.
This is exactly what (little) colour woods have at this time of the year!

I don't blame you for not stepping into the creek for the sake of a photo! :D
