Lens for Minolta camera

I have several minolta maxxum AF lens from a 7000 series camera and was looking to purchase a minolta 5d and use the lens. Will there be any problems? The 7000 was a Auto focus camera.I really don't know if it is worth the trouble.....any thought's?????

No there will be no problems using the glass from the 7000 on the 5D
I went from using both a 7000 and an HTSI to the 7D
Minolta unlike other companies have used the same mount since 1985
It's a Bayonette type A mount
The lenses you have will work just fine...

Just remember when you are using these lenses to multiply them by 1.5 so
if you have a 50mm Prime lens it will actually act as a 75mm

I also have the 7000 and Boltthrower is right, you should be able to make the switch with no problem.
