I'm just wondering if a wide angle lens could help taking pictures for real estate(rooms, property, etc.)? My mom has a point and shoot and I'm wondering if I can use a wide-angle lens to help her with that kind of stuff. Also, what good is a fisheye lens? Is it just like a wide-angle lens? Or does it cut off corners like a vignette? Last question. What should be my starting point when getting a lens? Should it be the standard 18-70mm lens??
Hey wide angle could be a little expensive if it's not going to make you some money back. Have you tried stitching photos together? There's a also 3d spinning panorama makers out there from companies like Arcsoft that won't care what lens you have. Have a play around here too http://www.view360imaging.com/
I've found a used wide-angle lens and I'm getting a job soon. I don't have a Digital SLR yet, but most likely will get one and it's just a forethought.
