Lenses for Nikon n65

Hello everyone. I just recently bought a nikon n65. I am now looking to invest in a lense. A few that I am looking at are the the tamron 28-80mm/70-300mm, sigma 28-80mm/70-300mm, nikkor 28-80/70-300mm. is auto focus important? Thanksvery much.

I have a Nikon N70 with 2 Tamron lenses (28-80 and a 80-210). I love the lenses and couldn't be happier with their quality, but I am always wishing I would have gone with one of the 28-200mm Tamron lenses instead.

I'm sure there will be a little debate on this (a lot of people really feel that you are giving things up by having such a large zoom range), but I honestly think this is a great lense, especially for the price.

When I had my Nikon 6006 my favorite lens was a 60mm 2.8 macro.
I enjoyed taking pictures of flowers with it.

I am currently shooting with a Nikon N80 and N90s and I highly recommend the Tamron 70-300... It is worth the $$$...
