Hi,
I plan to carry Sigma 10-20, Tamron 28-75 f 2.8 and Sigma 150-500.
Plan to leave my canon 70-200 IS f 4 home as I find it redundant.
Is this wise?

Depends on what you intend to photograph, and where.

Skip the short lenses altogether.

Hi,

Friend of mine went on safari two years ago. He took a high end point and shoot (fixed zoom lens) camera. He was in a group that also contained a photographer with a DSLR and multiple lenses. He came back with a successful collection of photos -- the guy with the DSLR came back with dust. In fact his camera went down half way through the trip from the dust that got inside while he changed lenses.

Something to think about -- be careful.
