this little fella was foraging along the water's edge at a pond yesterday afternoon... same pond where i found the sandpipers. unlike the sandpipers, however, this one was quite skittish, and would take off if i got any closer than about 20 yards. i "chased" it around the pond a couple of times, and managed these shots... not my best, but better than any other shots i have of a yellowlegs...

Great photos & you may reconsider the ID. I think the yellowlegs is correct, but not the lesser part [emoji1]

thanks, Tucker, you're correct. a friend just informed me that this is a greater yellowlegs, not a lesser... i can't edit the post title, unfortunately, so this will have to suffice... ;)
