She has it quite ruff... I have to make her go out and play. She'll happily eat bacon afterwards, however!

I can see that. I grew up with a Scottie, and she looked very similar (especially as she got older and started to grey). The main differences I can think of are the ears (Scottie ears standing up vs. Schnauzer's floppy ears), the length of the snout, and the length of the body.

We don't trim her like a classic Schnauzer.
