We do take a lot of things in life for granted.

really puts things into perspective, despite all that is going on my girls are healthy and have food and shelter and are generally pretty happy kids!

God, that's sad. I think of all the the scensory organs, sight would be the hardest to live without.
Poor child. It's heartbreaking.
