Today I went out to take a few lifestyle poses for a model trying to get into a local agency.
I don't know what it is but these last few weeks I've have a hard time with my focus, I purchased a new camera and have been using my 50mm.
Then I asked a friend to tell me if the first photo posted here looks blurry, she said no, it looks crisp and in focus. So I'm thinking maybe I need to get my eyes checked?

The photos were supposed to be her, just doing normal stuff, in a park, relaxing, reading a book, shopping, drinking coffee downtown, that sort of deal.

I took some for another girl a few months ago and they were the same type of photos and she was accepted and now they are up on the website.

3 is not flattering at all to the model and don't like the outfit in five.

But like 1, 2 and 4. I really liked the shopping bags in 2 - good props and she looks natural with them. Good shot.

She is very pretty and not large but she is too big for a model they want size 6-8 and the clothers are not good

i'm glad someone said it, i tried out for modelling and i was too tall, im 5ft8. model agencies that get you anywhere are so strict on your size and even give you a diet they expect you to stick to.

Some of these are ncie general shots though.

ummmm, this is not a supermodel. Let's face it. This is for lifestyle modeling, fashion shows, local events, they want all shapes and sizes.
Take a look at their website.
Barefoot Models & Talent Agency
not every model has to be a size 00

she is about 5'11
she is super tall.
and she is probably a size 4/6.
most super models are size 00, not size 6. size 6 is getting into plus size modeling, size 8 IS plus size, you have to be under size 10 to be a plus size model and how sad is that? size 10 is too fat for plus size? lol

C she'll be fine for cover modeling. If she was a bit skinnier her height would land her in a runway.

A real, gorgeous everday model. Not an anorexic , skin and bones model.

I think these shots don't really capture the lifestyle thing. She's too tuned into the camera for me to believe that she is just out there enjoying life. Lifestyle image shouldn't look posed, or planned, or set up or anything. I feel like usually, the model isn't looking into the lens; and if they are, there's those different feeling of, "oh, I just happen top be looking this direction, and there just happens to be a camera over here", instead of a feeling of looking straight down the barrel of the lens. Like, in the 4th image, why isn't she looking at the book? Lifestyle photography is about capturing authentic moments.

US sizes are different to UK

This is my partners niece Clea MartinStorm Models she was walking the streets of London when she was 14 and was approched by probably the biggest agency in the world and they snaped her up she said no at first

I think shots 2 the shopping bags need to be in the shot, get her to really stride out and shoot for a bit of an angle not straight on
