Light Trails and Flags

It just doesn't work.

The shot would work, but only if the flag poles weren't in the picture. All those vertical lines just kill the shot for me.

The flag pole is kinda "in your face", demanding for the wrong kind of attention. Perhaps a little shift of the framing to the left or right will make it better.

It's your photo, so if it works for you, in the end, that's what matters.
Doesn't work for ME, though. All I see is that foremost, very uninteresting, white pole and base. The waving flags and light trails, which I presume are what you want to be the focal point, are lost; my eye is not pulled to them at all.

Hmm, the light trails are good, but the first flag pole just seems to be too in your face considering you can't actually see the flag. The bright beam of the street light in the top left also spoils it a bit. Sorry, keep trying though.
