Lighting and other C&C Please

KmH, I read that over a couple of times and did some more skimming on the Strobist blog, I THINK I am heading in the right direction.

Today my wife and I were at a family Christmas party for her side of the family where my wife always takes 'Christmas pictures', they all like having their picture taken for facebook or whatever I guess. This time I brought out new lighting gear and tried a few things out.

Thoughts on these?

This one wouldn't let us take a picture of her unless she got to take a picture of us...



When I finally did get her to put it down there was no getting it out of her sight.

Basically the 4 different 'positions' we had everyone in (sitting in a chair, group sitting on or around a wooden chest, sitting on the ground, and laying on the ground). So I posted those 4 to get everyone's opinion on how these have turned out.

Always a learning process, just hope I'm learning the right things!
