I recently purchased a light kit.... but I would like to buy larger soft boxes for it..if I buy aftermarket soft boxes will the attach to my lights or do I have to stick with the ones that the kit came with. thanks

Softboxes usually attach to lights with something called a Speed Ring. So for a new softbox to attach to your lights, you would probably need to get one that has the same type of speed ring, or one that could be used with the speed ring on your existing softbox (provided that it's removable).

I have 3 Square Perfect 400's they come with a ring and softbox with them.. they come with speed rings.. I wanted to know if the made speed rings could attach to my exsiting rings since some lights have different mount setups for speedring..

Looking on the net these look almost like an elinchrome knockoff. Have you tried contacting B&H to see what they might suggest?
