Lighting on location

I was just curious what people use for lighting in the field. I assume you would use the same lights as in a studio if it was like an indoor shoot, but what about outdoors in daytime? Is it predominantly a reflector and some on-camera fill flash? ( I mainly mean when shooting people, but I guess this would work with other things as well. )

Just curious what everyone prefers or finds useful. If you can add a pic and what you used, that would be awesome. Thanks guys.

I suggest you need to read the book title of "The Hot Shoe Diaries" by Joe McNally it's about the Big Light from Small Flashes. It's a wonderful book and I bet you will learn a lot from it.
