Lightning over Richmond

So I've been trying to storm chase the past few weeks and haven't had a ton of luck just yet, but I'm learning.

This one is actually from the top of my work building - we've got huge windows in a board room that I was just hanging out in, taking pictures from. I really love this one, if only for the awesome lightning bolt

Timing's actually pretty easy. Believe it or not you actually use long shutter speeds, not short ones, for lightning.
