Lincoln Monument in B/W (C&C)

Lincoln Memorial shot from LBJ Park in Washington DC. This was orignally in color, but didn't have much impact in the colors and was kinda flat due to the overcast morning. I felt b/w would be a much better picture. As always comments welcome

That long exposure along with waving branches made that shot look dreamy and classy. Nice shot, I like it a lot.

I'm not a fan of the white/lighter/reversed vignette on the corners - for me if any vignette is going to work, just a black or dark gray. Probably more of a personal thing. I also feel like I lose the monument a little between the strong images of the tree and bench.

I really like what you did with the branches, but the outward facing bench is bugging me. If we are going to look at the monument I would want the chair facing it.

Actually it is facing a monument, it's facing the Jefferson Memorial. I thought about taking the picture that way, but there was no way to incorporate the Willow tree.

I would agree with you on the vignette, and I tried it both ways. The black was too much for my tastes on this particular picture. As for the monument, it was not meant to be the focal point, the bench and the trees were. Maybe I should have stopped down my aperature to blur it a bit more to get that across??
