I really wish people would stop being so cynical about it all. The issue is no longer about sending lots of money to aid Africa but awareness. Millions was given 20 years ago and nothing changed. Corrupt governments need ousting and money that is raised needs to be sent to the right places.

I think being cynical is the only reaction possible to this circus.
Putting an end to poverty was the original intention but it seems to have got lost somewhere in translation.
Now it's just all about people seeing lots of bands, and a lot of has-been's re-kindling stalled careers.
A lot of the musicians who were interviewed didn't appear to have a clue about anything - let alone how to stop poverty.
Listening to Floyd doesn't save a child's life, does it? But why should we care? We are not the ones living in poverty.
