Liveview question

Yep display picture then tap down arrow a couple of times on D-pad till the histogram preview shows. I leave it on that and learned to read the histogram for more precise exposure info. For image review may use zooming in to check sharpness but that is about it.

That's how to do it on a Nikon, not a Canon.

With a Canon, you just need to push the 'Info' button while viewing the image and it will scroll through the various review options.

Where did you find that $10 'hood'? I live in the boonies, so when I get to a town, I'll have to look for it!! I have the D7000 as of May 1 and don't like the glare of liv view either, but love the camera.

Agree with Big Mike....

You don't base exposure on what you see through an optical viewfinder. Why would you expect differently for live view?

Use the histogram...
