Nice job actually. Your shot was overexposed by maybe one stop, and white balance was a bit too cool, both of these causing you to loose a lot of the color in the rocks, thus contrast. Good PP though.

The PP shot looks quite good, IMHO. It looks as if you did a number of improvements to the sky from the first shot.

Did you use a polarizing filter?

@ Fedaykin I realized after I got home I had the exposure set wrong, I'm going to start altering the white balance and see how I work that.

@Tertius I didn't have a polarizing filter, I used a hood and after looking at the photos I went out and bought one.
