Why does this forum require login roughly every ten minutes, its a nightmare, other fora login forever (till browser closed) why does this one collapse so soon, writing a lengthy thought out post or reply requires copy/paste as I know from experience I'll be logged out before hitting the button

It must be a problem on your end. I don't have that problem. Do you have cookies enabled?

Yes Matt, it only happens here, I was online an hour ago, on another forum, shut down the browser without logging off came back online just now and was still logged in, here it can log me out within ten minutes. H

i don't think that's a forum issue - it doesn't happen for me.
I think Matt is right - something to do with cookies.
Possibly your internet connection cutting out for a second combined with no cookies would mean logging back in.

No, cookies are not blocked,and my connection is always on, I'me using a different browser now so I'll see how this goes but like I've already stated this is the only site it happens with. H

Its working fine now on the new browser, IE is pretty rubbish anyway, this firefox one is rapid.H
