#1 for me too. The only thing that gets to me is that there's a little too much space between the top of the tree and the jet. If you could bring the top down a bit then the empty space wouldnt bother me so much.

I definitely appreciate your comment, but I'm not sure I agree? One of the reasons I like this one is the gradual lightening of the sky, and I'm not sure you'd still get that effect cropping in?

What would #2 look like if you cropped most of the black from the bottom of the picture? At the moment it is drawing my eye away from the rest of the image.

with the second one you could think of cropping away alot of the dark space at the lower end ... the house in the first one is slightly tilted.. but apart from that i like it. .. oh, would clone out that bird or UFO though

Yes, the spec is a plane, most likely a Cessna (I live right by an airport)

i think the jet is distracting in #1. i like the image a lot anyhow
