Was wanting to be 'artistic' with these, so I intentionally blew this one out. The rustic look of the boards were beyond what I could hope for......





Needed to get a lower EV setting, still blew the sunlight out on this one. I need to get back and try again.....someday.





I've been enjoying looking over everyone's offerings. Hope I haven't 'polluted the pool' with my feeble attempts.....

I can't say I'm overly fussed about the blown areas to be honest, but I see a lot of potential for great images there. Some wonderful textures in that wood.

Don't be so hard on yourself. Like tirediron said, you have potential for beautiful images.

Lots of potentials all right. #2 -- all you need is a human element or include an animal element to it and you are home and hosed.

2. Composition aside, the purpose of HDR is to show areas of different exposure more evenly. However, in this photo, you still can't see what's going on outside. I think this would benefit would a -2 or -3 exposure in the HDR stack.
