Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
Hey everyone, first post here on the forums though I have been reading for a while. I am about 8 months into the learning process and wanted to share a few photos. These are of my son Adrian, hes 10months here. I have only done a couple of senior portrait sessions, and family portraits. I get quite a few requests but get nervous about that kind of responsibility when I don't feel I can guarantee my work yet. So I figured I should start looking for more CC here, even though I do enjoy the praise of friends and family on facebook etc, I am very well aware they don't look for the things us photogs do. Anyway rambling, no holds bar gimme what you think. Ive got so many more I wanted to upload but don't wanna flood the forum.

Generally the photos are really good, but ...

In #1, #3 and #4, your son isn't really looking directly into the camera which makes it not so effective.
#4 is a bit underexposed?

I am a noob here as well, but have been shooting for years, they look really nice to my rookie eyes, the last one only a little under-exposed. I love your framing!

There looking good on my end. #4 is underexposed. But your composition is good. Getting down to eye level, at times even under it, is a perspective adults rarely see, thus it allows for usually a very good photograph!

Watch his body parts, you have cut off limbs in a few shots. Also, personally I'm not really fond of the (extremely) slanted level lines. #3 is a little soft. In #2, your background is brighter than your subject => background steals my attention. #4 is under exposed and a little flat. I keep thinking #2 would be very nice if shot in leveled portrait orientation...

Anyway, I love the kid's expressions!

Technical aspects aside, I really like #3. I'm not one for photos of peoples kids but that one made even me crack a smile.

No 3 is my favourite, I would have cropped in closer on it though as the yellow flowers, although they are thrown out of focus are still distracting
