My wife called out to me " there is a deer in the back yard". My G1 had a 58/2 mounted so I grabbed the Canon S5 which I keep with a Sony 1.7 tele-converter on just for such occasions. I took a few shots through the window & then took a chance @ sneaking out onto the balcony for a clear shot. She saw me but I moved very slowly & she did not run off right away & I was able to get a few deceit shots before she took off. The shots through the window went to the trash bin.
