Looking at buying Promaster Tripod Combo

hey i'm looking at getting this combo for a tripod.

i played with both at my local camera store and i'm wondering if anyone has any experience with promaster tripods and if they can maybe tell me somthing that will stop me from buying it

oh yeah by the way, its for an Canon EOS 20D and the biggest lense I use is a Canon Ultrasonic 75mm-300mm

Save your money and buy a better tripod/head.

ahh ok thats what i needed to hear.

any suggestions as to what i should get?

i was thinking of either SLIK or Bogen then.

what do some of you use?
