Looking for a P&S to compliment my D300.

My D300 is at Nikon getting fixed for the next few week. So I thought this was the perfect time to buy that advanced point and shoot that I've been thinking about lately.

My main concerns are image quality and raw. I don't need a ton of zoom. I'd also like it to be built fairy well. I'm rough on my cameras (hence my d300 is at nikon).

I've narrowed it down to 2 cameras the Panasonic Lumix LX3 and the Canon G10. I like the 16x4 aspect ratio on the LX3, but the G10 has a bit longer zoom which is nice. They both shoot raw and have IS which is nice. The G10 has a viewfinder but It's just about useless.

I just wanted to hear from others that have theses cameras and see what they think of them.

I really like the G9, so the G10 is probably a great choice. It probably has a REALLY close focus range as does the G9. And plus, it takes really clear, detailed pictures. I have no experience with the Lumix, so I can't give you an informed opinion.
