Looking for help on a photoshop trick

I'm fairly certain I've seen this done before. Basically, my friends and I are making a joke music album and we had the idea to have the three of us near a brick wall. They then wanted me to put a picture of our mascot onto the wall as if we sprayed it as graffiti.

I was just playing around and found out how I can use Transform to rescale and reskew/change perspective. I also used the fill opacity option for the layer to make it seem like it blends in. But, are there any tricks to help bring through the texture of the background (in this case, brick?).

Being that this is just a joke album, it's hardly a big deal if it doesn't work out, but since I'm more a film guy my skills in digital are lacking. I'm always looking for something new to learn though in case I have to switch over. Thank you!

You can try fiddling with the layer options and go with maybe hard light or soft light. umm opacity obviously.
