Moved a couple of months ago and this is only the second photo since then, taken today.

So easy to get either in or out of a routine.

This was shot using natural light and a reflector.

Comments on my earlier natural light shots were that they were flat.

This one isn't.

Comments would be very welcome.

Very Tasty Chicken Salad

Serves 4 main course of 8 as a starter

Total time

Ingredients

small chicken salad.jpg
2 lb, 900g skinless boneless chicken breasts
2 cups mayonnaise
1 cup of chicken stock
3/4 cup finely chopped celery or use 3/8 tsp of ground
3/8 cup finely chopped water chestnuts, rinsed and drained or use apple
3/8 cup finely chopped red bell pepper
3/8 cup finely chopped yellow bell pepper
3/8 cup finely chopped red onion
3/4 tsp pepper of choice
Salt and pepper to taste, mixed pepper works well

Poached Chicken

Place chicken breasts in a heavy-bottomed pot and they must be in one layer.
Cover chicken with broth and simmer for 10 minutes.
Turn heat off completely and allow chicken to remain in hot water covered for 15-20 minutes.
Shred chicken with forks.

Combine and stir the shredded chicken and all ingredients except mayonnaise salt and pepper.
Stir in the mayonnaise, salt and pepper until well blended, then spoon over chicken mixture, stirring to coat.
Taste to see if more salt or pepper are needed.
Cover and chill for at least 4 hours.
Serve and enjoy!

* If you don't have red onions then roughly chop and boil a yellow one for a couple of minutes.

Light is as much about quantity and angles than type of light. Natural light can come at an angle that produces flat or come at a different angle and produce lots of interesting shadows and textures.

probably your best to date.
