got to be joking.. 1 hour... 0 view. I should start posting on beginners section again

:lmao:

There was one that you had posted on your facebook business page, it was shot through a piece of wood (I think?)--that one was my favorite. Sad to see you didn't post that on here! I really do like this set, though.. Very nice! :)

Yeah.. just click the link to see that shot.

I did look at these this morning and I think they are nice but there are a couple that have weird tones on there face. The ones by the red wall his head is really red looking to me on my monitor. I will check out the others once Im at home on my calibrated monitor.
And to be perfectly honest I think that some if not all can be stand to sharpened a bit more.

Checked out the other set and I think you have some really nice shots there. But on this monitor they look like they could have a bit more sharpening.

The dude's face is *super* red in a lot of them... I'm guessing because he was freezing his balls off...

I would try to lessen the red in his face if I were you.

thx dee and erose. Yes.. it was pretty cold.

Ok at home finally and checking these on the calibrated monitor. Dudes face is still red, and by red I mean super red in the shots with the red background. I know its cold out and some of the red tones can be attributed to that but the ones with the red wall is amplified. Maybe bounced and reflected light from the snow?

I think that they could still use a tiny bit of sharpening. I really like the ones with snowy backgrounds and the one of the old tree stump that almost looks like a heart.

Dee.. i was just being lazy. The only way to fix that is to mask of the red wall and change the hue of the red on him only. You are right, I should have done that. I actually did reduce the red when he is not by the red shed. But if I do it wihtout masking, the wall be orange.

Lol, ok well then you should put that in your initial post so I don't comment on something you already know silly. :lmao:

No.. its good that you mentioned it. It means I need to start fixing stuff like that if you notice it. I have been avoiding photoshop so I dont have to create another file LOL.

#1 - Why not crop to the vertical lines that are there? why cut off the bottom of the heart?

#2 - WTF? Not a very endearing setting for a wedding ring.

#3 - You've got 4 feet of space above their heads. Why cut off their feet?

#4 - Shifting them to the right slightly would've avoided the gap between the doors, thus keeping continuity.

#5 - The cleavage of overwhelming.

#6 - Mr. Squinty has his elbow and fingers amputated.

#7 - Ted Nugent's Stranglehold immediately comes to mind.

#8 - Best of the lot, but you should've gotten Mr Squinty to ditch whatever it was in his back pocket.

#9 - She throws like a girl.

#10 - I would prefer a true B&W conversion I think. The pose it good on her.

#11 - Detached feeling. Again with sky high space above and their feet are cutoff.

#12 - Again with the feet.

Sorry bro, but these are only adequate by a slim margin IMO.

Kundalini, I cut off most of the feet because they didnt look very appealing (snow boots with full of snow and wet jeans). I know what you saying though. Believe me I have all the shots with the feet. I will show you when I get home.

Also I couldnt ask him to do too much because of his right leg. He wears a brace because he had polio when he was little. Not an excuse, just wanted to give you what I had to work with.

Good exposures in all of these and nice backgrounds. They look very happy. However, like the above noted, the feet and different body parts keep being cut off.... it really takes away from the photographs.

Not really a fan of the ring picture, it just looks like some silver thing in wood that I can hardly make out as a ring.

The red in the guys face doesn't bother me much at all except in the red barn photos. It just looks like thats his skin tone.

I personally think overall you did a good job! Just put the feet back in the photographs!
