MAC ON THE RUN
My yellow Labrador Retriever pup LAKE CHAFFEE'S AUTUMN LEGACY O' TRAD FINIAN MAC at approximately 10 weeks of age when this photograph was taken. Unbridled Lab pup enthusiasm for running through the woodlands is captured in this image.
MAC is out of a breeding of my sire HRCH UH TTF CRAIGHORN KIFFIN TRAD SH and a fine dam LAKE CHAFFEE'S AUTUMN STARRY NIGHT owned by my veterinarian. I made certain to include both TRAD and AUTUMN'S names into the AKC registered name for MAC. Finian is Irish for "white" or "fair" and MAC is Irish for "the son of". So FINIAN MAC REFERS to the white or fair son of TRAD.
The TRAD X AUTUMN breeding produced nine outstanding Labrador pups - five blacks and four yellows. MAC was the lightest and boldest of the yellow pups and we decided to keep him. I am currently training MAC as a field performance gun dog and as an AKC Hunt Test K9 athlete. Now nearing nine months old, MAC exhibits grand potential as a gun dog and hunt test K9 athlete prospect.
Cheers,
