Macro Mode? Beginner help.

I just recently got a Nikon L120 for my birthday and I need some help. I'm very new to photography and I'm just starting to get the hang of it. I have taken a few macro pictures and they turned out GREAT, but when I try to take macro video, I don't understand how. Right when I click the record button at the top it goes straight to recording and when I hit the macro button, it won't go into macro mode. Am I on the right settings? Is there a way to load the record screen without automatically recording so maybe I can fix the settings? I would appreciate some help. Thank you!

I'm not familiar with that camera model, but most video modes on cameras won't record in a "macro" setting I don't think. I could be wrong though.

The reason I thought I could is because I searched it on youtube and people had videos in macro mode with my camera. Maybe they thought it was and it wasn't, I'm not sure.
