1:1 for about $75.

All from eBay:

Industar-50, 50/3.5 (M42 mount),

Set of 3 M42 extension tubes (use two to make 50mm),

M42 to M4/3 adapter.

Note where the end of the pencil is pointing & this is that spot taken with the combination in the above picture, hand held.

A large expenditure is not required to shoot Macro.

Nice work on tha macro.

I think a wooden pencil would make it look a bit more interesting... maybe in sepia? Just my thoughts.

I think the first photo is for his setup.;)Letting the pencil point to his macro photo.:D

I almost thought it was reversed. I just got a 77mm reverse ring for my 17-40L ( $10 ), but haven't had time to try it out much. I have extension tubes also, but usually only use one for like a 1:2 macro when needed, I haven't ventured into 1:1 range other than just practice garbage shots.

Nice shots BTW. A wooden pencil wouldn't have hid the fact that its a new fangled panasonic lumix camera

Laf! I took the shot of the GF1 with my G1 & a Vivitar 28/2.8. Both pics used available light in my office.

I love working with the old manual focus lenses of which I now have over twenty & am bidding on another tonight. Since the introduction of M4/3 format, the price of old glass has gone up considerably.

Nice version of the Industar, I have the black one (and I have the old extension tubes I had on a Zenit). I've been hit too by Manual Focus Disease :) .
However, for very few money I also bought a reverse ring, although never tried.
