This was shot on my first roll using my new (to me) Mamiya/Sekor 500DTL. Most of my negs were really thin, so I need to do some more work with it to see what the light meter is doing. But I liked how this one came out. It seems almost surreal due to the incredibly low dof, due to the extension tubes. I love extension tubes.

Thoughts? (aside from the darkness, since I usually hear that my prints are dark 8)) (This is also a bad scan, my scanner is dying I think...)

Its funny...I looked at it and thought "hmm, too dark".

Then, something made me look at it again and sort of stare at it for a minute. That is actually a very cool photo. I like it when a photo actually makes you stop and think, it kinda draws you into it somehow.

Good stuff!

It does have something about it that keeps me trying to figure it out. The low DOF gives it almost a motion blur to it but in a different way. I like the effect though. Do you have any more pictures like this?
