made a mess in the kitchen with Candy

Candy came over to the house and were going to work on some compositing images. she ran late and we only had an hour or so but we went ahead and just decided to make a mess in the kitchen, let's see what you all have to say about this one.

Not sure how I feel about her expression, and all of the flour all over the place doesn't really make her sexier or add any sort of appealing element to the photo for me. As well the hand prints on her border on crass for me. The flour that she is flicking is cool though, but the rest of it all over the place is just distracting and unappealing in my opinion. Perhaps instead of using just flour you could get ingredients for cookies or pie, have it half made and make a mess with ingredients that are actually appealing to the viewer (like chocolate chips, cherries, brown sugar, or even crushed candy to have a little fun with her name). I feel that this would draw the viewer into the photo more. Right now it just leaves a dry chalky taste in my mouth.

mmmmmmm dry chalk........... lol thanks for the post Dan. This defiantly isn't there yet, we only got half a dozen shots off cause I was having problems with my strobe. (will say Paul C. Buff is pretty good on there warranty work. think they actually got the unit fixed it and sent back quicker then when I ordered it originally lol) with all that went wrong we should have just canned it. but wanted to throw this together to see if it was close to what I was seeing in my head. I think with more time and a working light and some more attempts we could have gotten a greater look on her and better hand placement. I was going for more of a big mess in the kitchen, not really caring approach versus trying to make the viewer hungry for cookies or to that effect. But will be putting some more thought into it and reshooting this down the line.
